LAN Chat

Local chat or LAN chat is a tool for users whose computers connected into one local area or corporative office network interaction. As the such chats are usually wide spread in different offices they are also called office chats.

Technically the LAN chat consists if server that provides a base for data exchange between the clients and client software that sends and receives info from server. The server side as a rule may be installed on any computer. The only one condition for it is to be always switched on. The client may be switched on and off in any time. After the switching on it will be automatically synchronized with server.

An advanced client-server chat for local area network besides the message interchanging may also provide such function as files transferring, voice and video calling. Exactly such decision called MyChat will be discussed in our today's article.
