Torrent-client

A torrent-client is an app for P2P-networks working.

P2P (short. peer-to-peer) or a peer network is a computer network based on the equality of the participants. There aren't any of the dedicated servers and each unit (peer) is both the client and the server in the same time. Unlike client-server architecture such structure can keep working capacity of the network with any number and any combination of available nodes.

One of the areas of using such peer networks is the file exchanging. It works in a such way: some users of the network share with soe files of folders to another clients. Some of other users send the request eor any file searching. The application searches for the suitable files among the shared content of all the participants of the network and shows the result. After that the user can download files from the found sources. Modern filesharing networks allows to download the same file from multiple sources (it is more quickly and reliable). To ensure that this file is the same for all sources, comparison is made not only by the file name, and also by the checksum or hash type MD4, TTH, SHA-1. During the file downloading (and after finishing) this file may be downloaded by the other clients of the network. As a result the most popular files may be the most accessible for downloading from the hundreds of sources in the same time.
