Widgets for Windows

Widget (from abbr. "visual gadget") is an element of the operating system interface, which is realized as a prety designed applet, located on the desktop and performing a specific function (for example, clock or calendar). Unlike a traditional software, widgets are not standalone applications, and work only on the basis of a "parent" application.

The advantage of widgets is their aesthetic value and continuous availability (usually located on desktop). They can be divided into several categories: informers, switches (PC, sound, etc.), players, galleries, launchers, stickers, Web analyzers etc. That is, using widgets you can solve a lot of simple daily tasks when working with a PC.
